Here at JustGreatShots Photography we truly enjoy teaching others how to capture those images within camera, so we have put together the following photography workshops which take place in Petersfield and other local locations within and around Hampshire & West Sussex. All of our photography workshops are focused around practical “hands-on” learning whilst being provided direct 1-2-1 tuition out in the field and not in a classroom, with a wide range of photography workshops covering from beginner to advanced and more.

Beginners Guide into Photography -Level 1 (Two-hour Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £35

The cost of this workshop is £35, with the workshop running for a minimum of 2hrs, this workshop is suitable for all styles of camera’s from Compact, Bridge, DSLR to Mirrorless.

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

Step 1: Learning all about those camera setting and menu functions

Step 2: Learning all about Composition, capturing those photos from a different point of view starting with the rule of thirds, leading line and more.

Step 3: Learning all about Depth of Field, and how to focus on the foreground subjects, whilst blurring out that background

Beginners Guide into Photography – Level 2 (Three-hour Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £50

The cost of this workshop is £50, with the workshop running for a minimum of 3hrs, this workshop is suitable for all styles of camera’s from Compact, Bridge, DSLR to Mirrorless.

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

Step 1: Learning all about those camera setting and menu functions

Step 2: Learning all about Composition, capturing those photos from a different point of view starting with the rule of thirds, leading line and more.

Step 3: Learning all about Depth of Field, and how to focus on the foreground subjects, whilst blurring out that background

Step 4: Learning all about using Aperture & Shutter priority,

Advanced Guide into Photography – Level 3 (Half-Day Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £70

The cost of this workshop is £70, with the workshop running for a minimum of 4hrs, this workshop is suitable for all styles of camera’s from Bridge, DSLR to Mirrorless

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

Step 1: Learning all about using those different exposure metering modes and white balance settings

Step 2: Learning all about Depth of Field, and how to focus on the foreground subject, whilst blurring out that background

Step 3: Learning all about Aperture priority, and how it can be used to increase and decrease the amount of light captured within a shot

Step 4: Learning all about Shutter priority, increasing and decreasing those shutter speeds to capture those fast-moving action shots to slowing down movement etc.

Step 5: Learning all about using those different focusing / tracking modes

Step 6: Learning all about reading that exposure meter / histogram data

Step 7: Learning all about using full manual mode

Beginner to Advanced Guide into Photography – Level 1 – 3 (Whole-Day Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fees: £195

The cost of this workshop is £195, with the workshop running for a minimum of 8hrs, this workshop is suitable for DSLR & Mirrorless camera’s

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

Spend a day out visiting various locations throughout the day, this workshop will focus on teaching you everything you need to know when it comes to capturing those just great shots, from basic camera settings right up to advanced techniques such as bracketing (HDR) using filters and much much more.

This workshop will focus on:

Step 1: Learning all about those camera setting and menu functions

Step 2: Learning all about using those different exposure metering modes and white balance settings

Step 3: Learning all about Composition, capturing those photos from a different point of view starting with the rule of thirds, leading line and more.

Step 4: Learning all about Depth of Field, and how to focus on the foreground subjects, whilst blurring out that background

Tea, Coffee and Bacon \ Egg Sandwich will also be provided, as these workshops will be based around sunrises & sunsets with the locations depending on the time of year.

Introduction into Photography Post Processing (Three-hour Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £50

The cost of this workshop is £50 , with the workshop running for a minimum of 3hrs, this workshop is suitable for all styles of camera’s from Compact, Bridge, DSLR to Mirrorless.

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

Step 1: An hour out with your camera capturing photos using those skills you already have as a photographer using both .jpg \ RAW formats, with hints and tips being provided to help you improve those in-camera shots

Step 2: Learning about those post-processing editing steps using Adobe Lightroom \ Photoshop, from creating your first catalogue and workflow to learning all about enhancing your photos before exporting

Step 3: Learning about creating those secure online galleries, which will allow you to sell your images online whilst also providing your future clients with something special

Seascapes \ Landscapes & Filters Photography (Half-Day Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £70

The cost of this workshop is £70, with the workshop running for a minimum of 4hrs, this workshop is suitable for DSLR & Mirrorless cameras

Course Info:

A Photography Workshop for those photographers who already enjoy capturing images in-camera but would like to learn more about using GR, ND and CPL Filters, and for those photographers who would like to learn more about this style of photography before spending out on filters etc.

For anyone interested in this course but don’t yet own any filters, don’t worry as we will be bringing a selection of filters made by LEE \ Cokin along with us, which we are more than happy for you to try out.

Low Light Photography (Three-hour Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £50

The cost of this workshop is £50, with the workshop running for a minimum of 3hrs, this workshop is suitable for DSLR & Mirrorless camera’s

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

A Photography Workshop for those photographers who already enjoy capturing images in-camera, but wonder why their images look out of focus due to low lighting within a room when not using flash, to capturing those outside evening shots as the sun is going down

Wire Wool Photography (Two-hour Photography Workshop)

Workshop Fee: £40

The cost of this workshop is £40, with the workshop running for a minimum of 2hrs, this workshop is suitable for DSLR & Mirrorless camera’s

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

A photography workshop truly to be tried, a workshop where-by you will not only learn how to capture those sparks flying but you will also learn about the gear required to get you spinning in safety.

Introduction to Studio Lighting and Flash Photography (Half-Day Photography Workshop)

Starting with a single speed-light to studio strobe set ups, you’ll learn about perfecting that exposure using different styles of lighting skills, discover the difference between shooting with umbrellas, soft-boxes, beauty dishes, reflectors and modifiers and more.

Workshop Fees: £155

The cost of this workshop is £155, with the workshop running for a minimum of 4hrs, this workshop is suitable for DSLR & Mirrorless camera’s

Course Info:

This workshop will focus on,

1) How to set up your camera for flash
2) How to use a light meter
3) Working with speed lights \ studio strobe
4) 2hr shooting time with an experienced model
5) Learning those basic Adobe Lightroom editing techniques

Professional model, Imogen-Rose Crew or Brad Hoare will be booked to help us provide this workshop upon confirmation of booking and receiving payment, with workshop dates being confirmed based around models schedule and availability at the time of booking onto this workshop.
